One can also consume witch hazel with tea as well, what one is suppose to do is boil the witch hazel leaves in water and add to tea and consume it. One can consume this tea twice or even thrice in a day.

Witch hazel is a deciduous shrub; it is also known as snapping hazel and hamamelis water. Witch word is derived from the word "wych" which means flexible. It is a versatile plant or shrub. Mostly, it is used for facial care. Some people also use it for the treatment of the inflammation of mouth and throat. The two primary active ingredients of this shrub are tannins and volatile. It is very useful for skin irritation, sunburns, and windburns. It is also used in the treatment of eczema.

Five main uses for witch hazel are- 1. It is mainly used for acne. 2. The main problem that some people suffer from is bags under the eyes and this problem can be reduced by using witch hazel. 3. The Native Americans regarded this herb as a tonic. Witch hazel is also use in the form of tea in conditions like heavy menstruation, tumors, and eye inflammation. People use it as a folk remedy like for nervousness, vaginitis, and venereal disease. Some use it to calm down their irritation and frustration caused by headache. They are popularly used as ornamental plant. This species can also be used as a food plant. Witch hazel has twigs, which are used for medicinal purpose in addition to leaves and bark. The use of witch hazel internally is recommended, it can be used as both internal and external.
